Bully: Scholarship Edition

О Bully многие из наших уважаемых читателей точно слышали раньше. Эта развлекуха появилась на PlayStation 2 ещё в 2006 году. Веселые будни школьного хулигана, а ещё смелая попытка Rockstar Games преподнести нечто отличное от Grand Theft Auto, оказались до такой степени вескими, что игру перенесли не только на Xbox 360, но и на платформу PC. До личного ознакомления с предметом сегодняшнего разговора у автора этих строк не было никаких иллюзий - ну Bully, ну проделки мелкого пакостника в колледже... Больше всего опасений вызывал геймплей, тот, что по идее должен был угодить калькой с какого-нибудь GTA: San Andreas. Но все оказалось куда радужнее - Bully: Scholarship Edition обладает бесподобным игровым процессом, с удивительной легкостью поедает все свободное пора и более того радует новыми открытиями. Единственное, о чем приходится сожалеть - неудачное миг для релиза настолько веселой игры. Появись Bully летом, все разговоры были бы только о ней. При всем при том сейчас, когда народонаселение живо проходит Fallout 3, Far Cry 2 и безуспешно пытается биться с глюками GTA IV, порт старой игрушки от Rockstar Games заметит неблизко не каждый.

Школьная пора и при всякой погоде...

Джимми Хопкинс, за которого нам доведется игрывать в Bully: Scholarship Edition, относится к тем детям, которых называют "трудными". Подросток грубит своему отчиму, заставляет матушка переживать по вечерам, хулиганит и делает другие нехорошие вещи. Как и в настоящей жизни, причины кроются в среде, которая окружает ребенка - преждевременный уход отца и не чересчур заботливая родительница становятся причиной того, что мальчика "учит" улица. Уставшие от бесконечных проблем с ребенком родители отправляют Джимми в колледж Буллворта, расположенный в Новой Англии. Впрочем, учебное заведение, которое считается престижным, имеет массу проблем, которые знакомы слегка ли всем средним школам России. Управляющий - наивный болван, полагающий, что в его колледже учатся одни гении. Учителя - люди, с крупный натяжкой называемые педагогами (так как имеют море скелетов в своих шкафах). Наконец, ученики, которые представляют собой пародии на все известные прототипы - мажоры, качки, ботаны, понтовые и хулиганы. Rockstar, умеющей как никто высмеивать все пороки современного общества, оставалось только законспектировать все ситуации, придать действу динамики и изобразить запоминающихся персонажей. Со своей задачей разработчики справились на отлично.

Геймплейно Bully напоминает "режимную" GTA, в которой герою приходится не только хулиганить, оберегать слабых и отстаивать собственное достоинство, но и посещать занятия, а кроме того во что бы то ни стало почивать по ночам. Сначала сложно обвыкнуть к правилам, диктуемым игрой - тикающие часы в углу экрана не позволяют сосредоточиться на изучении окрестностей, практически произвольный поход по школьной территории сопровождается противостоянием со старостами, а езда без шлема на мотороллере карается неприятным общением со стражами правопорядка. Впрочем, так продолжается совершенно непродолжительно - буквально через пару часов потом общения с Bully умело планируешь день, выполняешь десятки поручений и даже выкраиваешь момент на собирание различных бонусов, раскиданных по школьному двору и небольшому пригороду, раскинувшемуся около Bullworth Academy.
